Closure
If the Lake Washington School District announces that it will be closed, SHLP will be closed.
Late Start = Closure
If Lake Washington has posted a late start ( for any amount of time) all preschool classes will be cancelled. In the event of inclement weather, please check the LWSD website or www.schoolreport.org for up to date information about Puget Sound school closures.
FYI
We are not able to do a late start due to the length of our day. Shifting our day would interfere with the schedule families and staff have for their older children. A late start is designed to let the roads thaw out and become safer to travel. Our policy supports and endorses the safety and well being of all of our children, families and staff at SHLP.
